We are truly saddened  by the sudden death of Oya.

He was more than just a friend;  he was the godfather of our son, Anthony.

Oya was a constant presence in our family gatherings and events - big & small.  If he came early, he helped set up; if he stayed late, he helped clean up.  The last time we had him over was last Christmas day.  I still remember how the room suddenly lit up when he arrived.  His was one of the joyous voices we heard that evening, for as usual, Christmas or not,  he was full of happiness and good cheer.

Oya was a wonderful person, always kind, considerate and generous.  I never heard him utter an unkind word to anyone.  He was one of the first persons we thought of when we needed a hand, knowing  that he will help without reservations, not expecting something in return.  He shared what he had in so many ways.  I remember a time when he unexpectedly showed up bringing bunches & bunches of flowers - for no particular reason at all except that he thought we would like them.

His passing will not only leave a void in our lives but in the hearts of everyone who knew him.

Oya's memory will remain deep within our hearts...always.
